The Grant Process Continues to be GREEN!
A brilliant idea is STILL glowing....
The District 73.5 PTA Teacher Grant Program is pleased to use an eco-friendly process of applying for, reviewing and learning about the grants funded by the PTA.
For the upcoming school year 2012-2013, the PTA is pleased to award up to $10,000 in funds that support innovative and enriched programs, activities and equipment in our three district schools; Meyer, Middleton and McCracken. District teachers and staff members* are welcome to submit applications for grant funds by April 20, 2012. A review process will take place during the first few weeks of May and a final recommendation will be presented to the PTA meeting on May 22th. Finally, grant recipients will be honored and awarded a certificate at the PTA's End-of-the-Year Picnic on May 31, 2012.

Dates to Remember:
February 13-April 20: Applications submitted online. Any questions can be left on the "Contact Us" page.
Wed., April 20: Applications DUE by 5:00 p.m. (Submissions are date-stamped. Any applications dated AFTER this deadline will adversely effect your total score). April 28 - May16: Committee members review grants, submit questions to applicants for clarification or further inquiry. Applicants have time to respond to the Review Committee. May 19 or 20: Review Committee members meet face-to-face to discuss merits of applications and make recommendations for funding. May 22: @ PTA Meeting, final list of grants presented to PTA for funding approval. May 23-25: Grant recipients notified and invited to the PTA's End-of-the-Year Picnic. May 31: District End-of-the-Year Picnic, hosted by the PTA. A special presentation of grants will be made to those gathered. Posters with information about the grants are displayed and recipients are on hand to talk briefly about their grant. 2012-2013 School Year: New grants are implemented! |
